ARTISTIC DIRECTION
Jose Maria Alvarez Munoz, conductor of orchestra and choir
José María Álvarez Muñoz is a Senior Professor of Orchestral, Choir and Opera Conducting at the Tchaikovsky Higher Conservatory of Moscow and a Doctor Cum Laude from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
In addition to the artistic direction of MUSIC'us and the MUSIC'us Orchestra, he currently directs the Choir of the CEU San Pablo University, the Choir and Orchestra of the UAM and the choirs (children and youth) of the Kolbe International School. He is a professor in the Master of Musical Performance and Creation at the Rey Juan Carlos University. He is a teacher at the Madrid Choral School.
In recent years he has won eighteen awards in various competitions, both for choirs, orchestras and individuals, having been chosen by the Community of Madrid as 'Best Director' of Primary for the last five consecutive years as well as of Secondary on as many occasions in the Contest that the CAM Education Department organizes annually.
